About Lene
Hi - I'm Lene Daugaard. I am passionate about drawing and painting.
I draw to immerse myself and experience through pen and brush.
I mainly draw and paint motifs with animals, flowers and women in various media.
I hope to get people excited and enjoy the line, the colors and the motifs in themselves.
My art and illustration of zoology and botany should give you an experience of being in contact with animals and flowers from all over the world.
I find it fun to invent female characters.
Telling a story is almost embedded in every drawing or painting of people, the interpretation is of course completely free.
In my female motifs, original personalities can be found, perhaps elements of oneself are recognized or personality types that would like to be looked at more closely.
It is one of my goals to combine my favorite motifs even more in the future.
I draw my illustrations – for surface design on various things – to bring joy to the products, fabrics and other things on which the illustration is printed. I draw animals, flowers, plants that buyers of mugs, cards, textiles can enjoy.
Background:
I am a trained graphic designer, have attended the School of Classical Drawing, the School of Graphic Design, Graphic School and Art&Design, as well as participated in courses over the years, e.g. croquis, colored pencil, acrylic and watercolor painting.
In 2021 I participated in Art2Life's online course Creative Visionary Programme. A very intense 3 month course on art principles. I have participated in a 1-year course at Miriam Schulzman's The Artist Incubator and participated in Stacie Bloomfield's "Leverage your art", which is a business course for illustrators and designers.

Animals and nature are at the heart of Foxtail Studio and I want to spread my joy of these as lovable and beautiful designs to everyone who loves animals and nature. Besides the natural world, I also draw whimsical illustrations of things.
I have a variety in my designs from natural history realism to whimsical drawings.

I have drawn many dogs, and I sell them as designs on clothes, mugs, magnets, etc.

Other Interests
When I'm not drawing, being out in nature is important to me. Nature is where I best recharge with renewed energy. My sister and I enjoy going on 1-day hikes around heaths and plantations and forests in Jutland.
Also, I visit zoological gardens and greenhouses, I love watching movies and musical theater and read books, enjoy doing yoga and being with my daughter and family.
I am interested in personal and spiritual evolvement, which is why I meditate and continue to seek to expand my horizons in that direction.
